fatalis
Spread your wings and set the sky ablaze, and remember, do not grieve the dying star. Its death kindles newer life, and thus the wheel turns again.
Fatalis is a blade of Hardlight that appears to be your standard long-sword, but the guard is a massive ring with spiked protrusions that almost resemble the glory of the sun. When you activate Fatalis, a plumage of fire expands from your back like phoenix wings, giving off a heat of their own--granting you the ability to fly and glide. The sword sings when you slash with it, releasing coruscating rivers of pure solar energy that unleash carnage upon whatever it comes into contact with. Because the blades of solar energy are compressed into a particular shape so that it can be used as a projectile, when it crashes

into something, it loses its shape and has a "splash" effect that can only be described as a super-combine explosion. As thermal expansion takes over, the resulting flames fan out from the solar energy to create a pyroclastic surge that render stone ductile (moldeble) and into a thick, flowing liquid.
Phoenix Protocol--Stab Fatalis into the ground beneath you, rendering the earth molten. You will the contents from the molten stone, four blades each pulsing with solar energy. These blades will fan out above you like the plumage of a phoenix, orbiting around your head, a crown of blades. You can send these blades out in a volley, and they will begin to vibrate once they've struck a target, creating breaches in the foundation of whatever it pierced that glow with an internal forge. After a few moments, they will explode the object into fragments of shrapnel that serve as ammunition--like a shotgun blast with molten shards rather than bullets.
Icarus Dash--Bring Fatalis down to your hip as though you were motioning to sheath it, and a pocket of pure solar energy will materialize to mimic a scabbard. Once Fatalis is dipped into this font of energy that resembles a sheath, you burst forward and flap your wings, propelling you forward in a hurried glide across the ground. If this were over a bed of water, the water behind you will froth out in a 'V' and release hot steam into the air. Once you're about to reach your opponent, spread your wings to their maximum stretch, from wing-tip to wing-tip. Simultaneously, unsheath Fatalis from its scabbard and slash horizontally (or vertically) across the air. Despite being a distance away from your opponent, anything within your sight within a five-mile radius will suddenly have an angry, glowing red line nicked across it. After the span of two heart-beats, anything that has this scorched indent across it will separate, cut clean and be thrown into the air in an extraordinary event. An entire forest can be chopped clean within an instant.
Fated for the Flame--Condense all the solar energy within Fatalis so that it can no longer project out coruscating arcs of fire, but rather wreath the blade in an aura of solar energy that gives it the visage of its own miniature star. In this form, Fatalis can issue out the heat only seen in the outer-rim of a yellow star, about 5,500 K. Despite harnessing this much heat in the blade itself, it doesn't give off much light and only has a mild phosphorescent glow about it. Because of this, it's deceptively hot and the opponent can only really tell what has happened once Fatalis interacts with an object, such as a bladeclash, which would effectively melt the blade of your opponent. It can flash-melt whatever it cuts or stabs, let alone melt the skin, sinew and bone off whatever is near it. If it were to cut through something with blood, then a mist of gaseous, red blood will float into the air as it is turned into steam from the raw heat of the blade, cauterizing any wound shut. If an object is small enough, then it'll go through a process of sublimination when it's cut--sublimination is when anything solid turns into a gas without first becoming a liquid.
