QUARK STARS
The sun's light purifies all it touches. Such is the gift of the Quark Star. Its Light blesses those who stand with the wielder. And burns away foes foolish enough to stand against it.
The Quark Stars are things that were born before the appearance of the concept that the world calls a "gun", so it is not something that can truly be called a gun. While it has a grip, hammer, and is the same length as a gun, the inner mechanisms of the Quark Stars deviate from your standard hand cannon. You summon a flaming pistol which disintegrates enemies into solar energy. You are allowed up to five bullets before you must recharge the Quark Star and it enters a cool-down state. Any surface that is hit with this bullet will find smoldering orange veins spread across its surface, until it is entirely webbed with these fissures of light. Once it appears to be malfested entirely with this solar energy (which is internally building up, like the way a collapsing star would) it implodes in on itself, scattering cinders far and wide. When one can wield the fire of stars, what use is flesh and bone?
-Helium Spiral--This technique converts the Quark Star into an all-or-nothing weapon, restricting it to a single but extremely powerful shot. Draw the Quark Star upward, and in step with your motion, the fire within will burst into focus--through your shoulder, down your arm, as your finger closes on the trigger of your hand-cannon. A single, hyperconcentrated shot of solar energy will shatter the sound barrier around you and strike its intended target without any noticeable flight-time. The target will combust into a cloud of ashes, no matter its size, completely shadowing the way the standard bullet would require time in order to decompose a target into solar energy. Depending on the size and thickness of the target that is being hit, an effect can occur where multiple targets behind the initial designated spot will also have smoldering tunnels punched through them.
-Whisper of the Sun--Transform the hand-canon that is the Quark Star into a marksman sniper-rifle. The cryo-scope that is attached to the Quark Star will "tag," targets that meet a requirement of "cold," which refers to anything that isn't hotter than 100°. This means that anyone who is hotter than that, within an environment that is hot, or blocked by an object that is hot cannot be targeted by Quark Star. Those that are unfortunate enough to fail to meet these requirements can be sniped by a crystalline projectile of fossilized solar energy, which appears like a shard or gemstone and replaces the need for standard ammunition. Those that are struck will be flash-vaporized into a cloud of red steam. Following behind the bullet is a trail of convection hot enough to issue fourth-degree burns (a fourth-degree burn completely burns away all flesh, leaving only bone tissue). "As soon as the first guy goes down with blood and steam whistling out through the neat new hole in their head, you know you're in for a long, miserable game of 'where the fuck did that come from'."
