History/Lore:
Only rumors tell of the mad Annunaki who fashioned this butcher's tool. But its power is undeniable, and fear is a formidable weapon. This sword once belonged to a very powerful Reclaimer, who lost it on a grounds-mission on some foreign planet in who-knows-where. Discovered by the residents of the planet after beating back the revolting oppressors that sought to glass their planet, every man and woman who has since touched the blade has forsaken it. Somehow, though, it fits right in the palm of your hand, its weight perfect for you, and now, you suddenly feel a thirst.
Appearance:
A seemingly normal steel longsword with a golden guard and slim purple-bandage wrapped hilt. On the pommel of the blade is a black gem that seems to radiate the chaos in which the ensuing abilities stem from. Removal of this gem would result in the normalization of the blade. Black scales crawl up your arm all the way to the shoulder where it ends in wicked spikes, tipped with a red venom with a viscosity very similar to blood. This blade seems to hold a certain level of sentient awareness, poured into it from its first wielder: it is fierce and bloodthirsty, drinking the blood of those it bites. The sword did not need to be physically wielded by its original owner because it is alive and naturally thirsts for blood. The space around you and the sword becomes stained with dark red blood when it is unsheathed and the Primordial Lie is active.
Abilities/Traits:
-Passive; Primordial Lie: Upon its unsheathing, Trishula creates an "aura of Deep chaos," within your immediate person. When the blade is unsheathed, rather than the sharp "shing," of the standard blade, it creates the sound of a discordant strum straight out of a horror film. This gives the ability to disturb any kind of "pattern" or "harmony" near Trishula, affecting both animate and inanimate objects. Victims may experience clumsiness, troubles focusing, slight disturbances of the senses and more rapid tiredness, as the rate of the heart and breathing pattern are being distorted. This also applies to energy effects, where the bonds connecting their energetic particles may fluctuate and weaken, causing weaker abilities to even fall apart as they approach Trishula, and stronger ones to be reduced in effectiveness and accuracy. Non-projectile attacks seem to stagger and sometimes fail in completing their tasks, while objects surrounding Trishula may start to distort the closer they stand to it and the longer they reside in its presence. This technique is a passive one, and a highly effective one too for that matter, as not even the most well-trained opponents or strongest of attacks can escape the "chaos" within the area. Trishula's blade is simply charmed with an incoherent flow of the Deep, which induces immediate chaos on every victim it cuts except for the wielder themselves (unless the Catalyst is unlocked). The chaotic effects are far stronger than in the passive when direct contact is made with the blade, as a single cut to an opponent may be enough to completely render the affected limb unusable, disturbing the blood flow and nerve-brain connection within the said limb. When an object is hit, its structure may start to topple or even completely collapse depending on its sturdiness, or may become unreliable for utilization, turning its effects against the user. When an attack or defense is cut by Trishula, it will generally disperse into the atmosphere as the structure of bindings that connect the separate energy particles becomes severed.
Catalyst:
*Be a Reclaimer attuned to the Deep.
-Self-Imposed Lie: A technique that reverses the principles of the passive, where the chaotic effects are applied on your own body. Trishula ensures an inimitable unbalance within your motions and bodily functions, at such a rate anyone without the "chaotic mindset" of yours would lose their sanity. These irregularities are so complex not even the most adept of movement or mind-readers can keep up with your actions, giving you a valuable defense against both of the latter.
